Week 2 ReflectionPlease click the link for the KWL Chart: screen_shot_2016-09-09_at_2.57.24_pm.png Module 2 has a lot of new concepts for me. I have learned a lot. At first, I was overwhelmed by so many new frameworks I need to read and learn. I interviewed my principal and she showed interest in learning these concepts. I told her I’ll keep her updated.
I now learned that there are five and more frameworks. TOGAF is strong on the Business Architecture and Technical Architecture aspects. It is one of the most comprehensive with regards to the actual process involved. This framework provides guidance towards principles for decision making, guidance of IT resources. It contains phase A to H, 8 phases. As I apply TOGAF to my school WAB, most of the phase mission would apply, however, there’re still some gaps. E.g, when I talk to the school leadership team, they told me they are in the process of the five year long term plan which will be done unknown. I believe this framework will help them go through this process though. Reference: Bernard, S. (2012) EA3; An Introduction to Enterprise Architecture.
